RACE RECAP: Adaptability at Intensity
After a last-minute pivot from the canceled Tenerife Blue Trail by UTMB, Courtney Dauwalter proved once again why she is the GOAT. Facing a flatter, faster course in Chianti, she adapted her nutrition strategy on the fly.
"The original plan was very different. For Chianti, we came up with a new strategy based on the course and the conditions." — Courtney D.
The "100% BOOST™" Nutrition Strategy
To maintain high intensity throughout the grueling 100M, Courtney relied on a steady 67g of carbs per hour:
- BOOST™ Gel 30 Neutral: For continuous fueling without flavor fatigue.
- BOOST™ Gel 30 Peach Tea: For that essential caffeine "kick" to stay sharp.
- BOOST™ Gel 30 Salted Lemon: To replenish minerals and ward off cramps.
More Team Success in Italy: Huge shoutouts to the other Näak athletes who dominated the trails: Alex Garcia (3rd - 50K), Julia Font (5th - 50K), and Baptiste Chassagne (7th - 50K).
